My real moment of shock and awe was flying over the pacific earlier this year on Hawaiian and measuring ~350mbps down.
It's a German airline promoting German culture. Hence the slow internet.
It looks like all of the major big 3 American Airlines offer this as well as BA, Virgin and AirFrance.
It reminds me early 2000s dial up internet, you have to wait for every single request.
Lots of airlines do this, no?
what about any post from old.reddit.com ? is it accessible ?
I haven’t tried, but I’m guessing it would be much slower than HN.
